Our Story

United Rentals Limited (URL) was registered under the Companies Act, 1963 (Act 179) on 13 February, 2013.

The Company has the mandate to carry out Real Estate and Rentals Business. The Company thus used to rent Vehicles, Trucks, Plants such as; Welding Machines, Generators, Compressors, Tower lights, Forklifts, Excavators and Dozers.

On the hand, its current concentration is on its Real Estate operations. URL has clientele base such as; FMC Technologies, POSCO, Jan De Nul Group, Seaweld Engineering, SINOPEC, DHL, Edison Chouest Offshore-Ghana, Ghana Rubber Estates Limited, John Rixs Construction among others. The company has a Vision to becoming a leading Real Estate Company that provides affordable housing units to the people of Ghana and beyond in the next ten (10) years. This will be achieved through the use of dedicated and skilled personnel and the use of current technology. URL has successfully completed the Construction of 2 yards in Takoradi and rented out to the Oil and Gas Companies. It has also constructed an office block and a warehouse for Hytec Services Ltd. Aside these, URL is in the process of building 6 units Town houses on Dixcove hill and 24 units Town houses in Airport Ridge both in Takoradi and 10 units in Accra.

Subsidiaries
United Rentals presently has three (3) affiliate companies and all are Co-founded by Prakash Lalwani and Antonina Addo Lalwani. Prakash Lalwani is also a Managing Director and Shareholder of Tropical Plaza Investments Ltd.

EAZI – RYDE – Is a wholly Ghanaian owned company registered under the laws of Ghana. Its main business operations are vehicle and truck rentals and have recently developed a mobile app for Taxi services. Some of its main clients are INFRATECH (ZAIN telecom), LIKUSASA TELECOM, AFRICAN HYDROCARBON, ANTRAK, EDISON CHOUEST, LOGIPLUS AND AMT (ADVANCED MARITIME AND TRANSPORT) TO MENTION A FEW.

NILANI MEDIA PRODUCTION – Is also a wholly Ghanaian owned company registered under the laws of Ghana. Nilani Media is also a Movie Production House with its maiden project Titled “INTERCEPTION” the first Ghanaian action movie set on the International standards with A List cast of the likes of AMA K. ABEBRESE, ADJETEY ANNAN, CHRIS ATTOH, JOHN DUMELO, JASMINE BAROUDI and DIRECTED BY PASCAL AKA.

CREAMY BURST – Is the third company which is also a wholly Ghanaian owned and registered under the laws of Ghana. Creamy Burst is into the production of delicious Ice Creams. Although new, it has clients like; EMPOWERMENT WORSHIP CENTRE, ZENITH BANK, LEGON BOTANICAL GARDENS, etc.

Shareholding Structure
The Shareholders of United Rentals are Prakash Lalwani with 70% and Antonina Addo Lalwani with the remaining 30% shares.

MANAGEMENT PROFILE
United Rentals Limited has in place a well-structured, committed and qualified management team handling the day to running of the Company. The Company currently has a total of Ten (10) workers who help to steer the day to day operations.

KEY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER(CEO)
Mrs. Antonina Addo Lalwani is a business woman, a script writer and a film maker. She is 43 years old and has a Degree in Human Resource Management from the Central University College and she is a co-founder of United Rentals Ltd, EAZI – Ryde, NILANI Media Production and CREAMY BURST.

COUNTRY DIRECTOR
Prakash Lalwani is the Managing Director of the Company, he resides in Takoradi (Beach Road) and Accra with his Family. He is married to Madam Antonina Addo Lalwani (the second Director) with two (2) children both residing in Accra. Mr. Lalwani has a degree in International Business from the University of Brighton, South East of London near Sussex. Before starting his own company, he was a General Manager for FTH InterTECH Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of FTH InterTECH Germany a global expert in fire solutions and Welsing Ventures Ltd.

CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANT/CONTRACTOR
John RIXS Construction Ltd is the official firm that handles the construction infrastructure of the Company. John RIXS Company Ltd. provides total construction support to United Rentals. The firm’s services include; Constructing Residential Facilities, Commercial Project, Hospitality Project, Industrial Facilities, Weigh bridges, machine installation and alignment, Health Care Oil and gas Water Supply and treatment facilities, Swimming pools construction, etc. The Managing Director Eric Kofi Danso, has 20 years of construction experience with seven of which has been in managerial position. He graduated in 1998 from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with 1st Class honors in BSc. Civil Engineering. Eric also has a PG Diploma in Business Administration from University of Wales. With deep knowledge of construction in Southern Ghana, Eric is on top of construction issues.

FINANCIAL MANAGER
Mr. Wilson Kwadwo Adu Gyamfi is the Accountant of the Company. He has qualifications in Tax Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICTA-Ghana) and a Member of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA-UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG) respectively. He also holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies. He is responsible for the Financial matters of the Company. He is married and lives in Accra.

PROPERTY SUPERVISOR
Mr. John Graham Junior (Jnr.) manages the number of properties that have rented out to companies in both Takoradi and Accra. He holds a Diploma in Hardware and Networking Engineering from IPMC. He also has a Safety and Health Certification from Agile Safety Training School. He is in charge of the various the company has built and rented out.
